Welcome to my website. I hope this site provides you with helpful information about my psychotherapy practice and the services I can provide

My approach to counseling and psychotherapy is based on a direct, interactive relationship with my patients. I believe that patients have a right to the best care for their particular needs. My more than 20 years in the counseling and psychotherapy field has given me the experience and training to treat a wide variety of issues.

Please feel free to contact me during regular business hours to discuss how treatment may benefit you, a family member or other loved ones. If I, for any reason, am not able to assist you I will help you find someone who can.

A bit about myself

As a licensed marriage and family therapist,  I have worked as a counselor and therapist in schools, drug and alcohol treatment programs, outpatient mental health clinics and the criminal justice system. My experience involves working with adult individuals, adolescents, couples and families. I have also been a consultant to local school districts and police departments regarding their community and diversion programming as well as gang prevention. My appointment by the State of California to examine prospective licensees and as an adjunct professor in a graduate psychology program has kept me up to date in my field.

Psychotherapy & Counseling Services

Psychotherapy is not easily described in general statements. It varies depending on the personalities of the clinician and patient and the particular concerns. There are many different methods I may use to deal with various issues being addressed. Psychotherapy calls for an active effort on the patient’s part both during sessions and at home.

Our first session will involve an evaluation of your needs. At that time,  I will be able to offer you some impressions of what our work will include and a plan to follow if you decide to continue with therapy. You should evaluate this information as well as determine whether you feel comfortable working with me.

To help get the process started please fill out the following forms prior to our first session:

Patient Intake Form | Patient Consent Form | Credit Card Authorization
